CCNet - Champaign-Urbana: A View from the Future
In this short film, CCNet presents a vision for the future of Champaign County as a beacon of sustainability to the nation and the world. The film imagines what our community might look like if we were successful at effecting wide-scale changes toward a more sustainable community. It traces actions and decisions that are underway today that might help bring about such change, and examines what the personal stories of lifestyle change might sound like 10, 15 or 20 years from now. Covering the topics of transportation, renewable energy, neighborhood design and housing construction from a uniquely local perspective, the film enables us to better see how our actions today contribute to a better tomorrow. CCNet is an organization whose mission is to promote discussions about sustainability issues in our community. These discussions will help discover opportunities to improve the quality of life for our citizens while positioning our community as a center for innovation.
